Having turned pro at the age of 16, Nigel completed his PGA training at Meyrick Park golf club under the guidance of the renowned John Stirling. Having completed his training by the age of 19 Nigel went on to earn his European tour card in 1981. After a year on tour Nigel took up the role of Head assistant at Meon Valley Golf and Country Club in Hampshire where he spent 2 years before joining Broadstone golf club as Head Professional in 1983. Nigel spent 23 years at Broadstone where he built a reputation as one of the leading club Professionals in the South of England, serving on the West Region PGA committee for 15 Years and Captaining the Bournemouth Alliance in 1995. Nigel joined Remedy Oak in 2006 as Head Professional and has since become Director of Golf overseeing the day to day running of Remedy Oak.
Robert began his career in 1985 at the age of 16 when he joined the staff at Peebles Golf Club in Scotland. After 3 years Robert was appointed Head Greenkeeper shortly after his 19th Birthday making him, at the time, the youngest Head Greenkeeper in the country.
He went on to work at a number of other clubs throughout Scotland, including Course Manager at Cardrona Hotel Golf and Country Club, where he took the club through construction from a Brown Field site to 2 time Challenge tour venue over a 7 year period.
Robert joined Remedy Oak in the Winter of 2006, where he oversaw the grow in of the golf course ready for its opening in May of that year. Highly respected in the industry, Robert is the current Chairman of British and International Greenkeepers Association South West and South Wales region.
Amanda joined Remedy Oak in January 2013. Her early career was spent in the Foreign Exchange and Money Market departments of American Express and JP Morgan banks before taking time out to raise her two daughters. Amanda oversees all aspects of the clubhouse, social media, staff welfare and membership administration.
Scott is an NVQ City and Guilds trained chef. Having gained 17 years experience working in a variety of Hotels and Restaurants within Dorset, Scott joined Remedy Oak in 2007 from Canford Magna Golf Club where he had been Head Chef for 5 years.
Scott has built a strong team of chefs around him in the kitchen attributing much of his success at Remedy Oak to his 9 year working relationship with his second Chef Kevin Joiner who has previously held Head Chef roles himself.
